Eating Locally

So my friend Kevin over at "Life has taught us" has razzed me a bit for starting a blog and not posting so here it goes. I would like to talk about the value of eating locally. Today I will present a way I have figured out how to have fun, eat extremely locally, and stuff yourself with good stuff.

I have recently taken up free diving / spearfishing and found that subsistence diving is a blast.
So, first you need to go out and get some fish from your backyard...

After you catch the fish. Go to the farmers market and pick up some seasonally available veggies. I like to use avocados, tomatoes, limes, and peppers. Well you fillet up the fish. Blanch it mix it with all of the goodies mentioned above let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour or so. Slap it on some lettuce you pick in the garden and then 'viola you have some really local, and super fresh Ceviche' .

Awesome Blanco Hombre!

How would I know that you would take Local Foods to the Extreme! I should have expected it. Next post you will have to tell us about how you climb shear rock walls to collect eggs from precariously perched nests!

I love it.

And, I want some of that damn ceviche!
