So we are putting up a hoop house. A hoop house is a inexpensive way to get a greenhouse up. Here on the north coast, tomatoes, peppers, and other hot weather varieties don't do so good in the summer fog so you need to make them a house.The first step of the hoop house construction was to till and amend the soils. Build the base frame. Figure out how the hell the structure was going to go up. First round I didn't let the glue set, so needless to say, I had to go back and reglue the pvc.
Now a hoop house is essentially a PVC quansit hut covered with greenhouse poly covering it.
See that behind me? This yard came with established artichokes and Rosemary!
It took strapping the mid points with a plumbing strap to keep the mid points from boinging!
Finally, you have to screw it all together and get the poly as tight as possible.
Next. Planting the garden!!!
